Recreate history's first programmable robot with this Robert Sabuda designed wooden Drawmaton. Leonardo Da Vinci designed humanoid automatons that could perform many actions, and were controlled by interchangeable "petals." This ultimate DIY set contains 4 petals which each store 1 kilobit of pre-defined motion data to create four pictures. When the petals complete one full rotation by turning the dial, information is sent down the robot's arm. Everything you need to build the entire set of laser-cut wood parts is included, and step-by-step visual instructions are included. It makes a perfect gift for any model builder, puzzle lover or anyone with an interest in early science history. Ages 14 and up.
